Measured Survey · Stage 01 of your project

Every good design starts with an accurate one of what's already there.

We measure your home precisely and turn it into accurate existing drawings. Every later stage depends on them: design, planning, building regulations and structures.

Included in all packages, or from £450 on its own

Why an accurate survey matters

  • Planning drawings based on guesswork can be rejected or cause problems on site
  • Structural engineers and builders need real dimensions to design and price accurately
  • Small errors in wall thickness or floor levels become expensive mistakes later

What we record

  • Room dimensions, wall thicknesses, and door and window positions
  • Floor-to-ceiling heights and floor levels
  • Roof shape and pitch, loft space and chimneys
  • External elevations and boundaries
  • Visible drainage, manholes and services
  • Photographs throughout
  • Constraints worth knowing about early: trees, neighbouring windows, level changes

FAQs

Questions about measured survey.

Can't see yours? Ask a designer.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as we can arrange access to the property, you don't need to be there.

Do you need access to the loft?

Yes, if we can reach it safely. It's essential for loft conversions.

Will you need access to my neighbour's property?

Usually not.

I already have old drawings. Do I still need a survey?

Usually yes. Old drawings are often inaccurate or out of date.
